Key Ingredients
The Madison County Historical Society in Madison is one of the six communities in Nebraska selected by the Nebraska Humanities Council to Host the 2005-2006 statewide tour of "KEY INGREDIENTS: AMERICA BY FOOD." This is a traveling exhibit developed by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Services (SITES). Madison will host the exhibit from December 11, 2005, through January 25, 2006.
"Key Ingredients" explains the little know, the everyday, and the obvious through an entertaining and informative overview of our country's diverse regional cooking and eating traditions. It investigates how climate, ethnicity, landscape, and traditions influence the foods and flavors we enjoy nationwide.
