This picture shows the balloon release to celebrate Theodore Seuss Geisel's 100th birthday anniversary and opening of the Carnegie Learning Center in 2004. Dr. Seuss had a flare for writing books which children love and thus encouraged reading development. The Madison County Historical Society encourages the development of good reading habits so you can enjoy reading about history.
