Robert Noe’s Dixon County Barn, on Highway 20 at Tar
Box Hollow, was built in 1938-39 from local cottonwood trees that Robert cut and
hauled to a mill at Wakefield. He
was assisted by his father, Fred and brothers Ralph, Oliver and Leslie.
The barn is now surrounded by the grass fed Tar Box Hollow buffalo of the
Larry and Rose and brother Monty Mason herd.
The Masons have future plans for the barn to serve as a rustic retreat.
It is now owned by Robert’s daughter, Jeanette Geiger, Norfolk. For more information, contact the Masons at 1-800-297-1379 or
